Habakkuk: When God Seems So Silent

Habakkuk is one of the most obscure minor prophets. We have only the briefest knowledge of him and only perceive him as that man in the Old Testament canon with the strange name! Historians tell us nothing about him. The Scriptures are silent, except the words of 1:1 and 3:1. He “is one of the prophets often lost in the archives of the Old Testament.” The tragedy of Habakkuk’s being ignored by Christians is that we never discover its valuable message.
